Friday:
A few of the Friday gardens open at 10 AM on the way to the Hamburg site include Ran Lydell's Eagle Bay gardens, Sheridan,NY, with a vending area, Marcia and David Sully's Hidden Gardens of Eden, NY, Mike and Kathy Shadrack's Smug Creek Gardens, Hamburg, NY, and Lasting Dreams Daylilys, owned by Carol and Anthony Haj, Orchard Park, NY. More Saturday/Sunday WNY Hosta Society member's gardens, along with driving directions, are listed on this site and will be in in our information packet given out at the shelter. 

Consider dining in our area restaurants featuring our famous regional foods that include WNY pizza, Buffalo chicken wings, local beer battered Friday fish fry, beef on weck, and hot dog stands with locally made sausages and hot dogs!! Eat in or get takeout and join others back to our shelter. Check out our food list! Charcoal grills will be available if you plan on cooking on site. 

 

If you care to sell/trade your own plants 'tailgate style' on Friday, please provide your own table. Tables must be taken down before the 7pm auction. 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, please contribute a plant or garden item for the Friday evening auction beginning at 7:00 in the picnic shelter. Auctioneers: Ran Lydell and Mike Shadrack. You know we will have an entertaining auction!! 

You are welcome to bring your own lawn chair or sit at the picnic tables provided in the shelter. 


Saturday and Sunday:
Our hosta club will offer details of member's gardens to visit, including driving directions. Also, the village of Hamburg will have 30 or more open gardens to visit within the village and 14 or more garden vendors will be on site in the village park.

Our packet will also include coupons & savings to local area nurseries, garden centers, a farmer's market, historic places to visit, as well as suggestions for area restaurants and hotels/motels

Come for the gardens and friendships, extend your stay for the area sites, including Niagara Falls (just 35 minutes from Hamburg), Buffalo gardens and history, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens (20 minutes from Hamburg) and so much more! Pack your passports for Canada if you want to cross at the Buffalo/Fort Erie, Canada Peace Bridge. 

You are responsible to book your own hotel/motel room.
