Past Hosta Tea Gardens

Hosta Teas - 2015

Hosta Teas are an opportunity to visit and socialize in members' gardens you may not have yet visited. Gardens are open from 1-5pm during a Saturday afternoon and members may visit, take a look at the garden and its plants, socialize and partake of some light refreshment.

JUNE 6th, 2015  1pm - 5pm - WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

Our JUNE Hosta tea was held this year in the gardens of Sue Buckner in Caledonia and Jim Ecker in Rochester. We thought that a “two-fer” was appropriate since Sue...our original volunteer for the June tea...lives a distance away. So this gives you an opportunity to stroll (and buy - both Sue and Jim sell hostas and other plants).

Sue Buckner's "Hostabilities" - A fantasyland that goes on and one. Hostas mixed with rare and unusual plants. Sue sells plants, so we came home with new plants to love.

Jim Ecker - Jim Ecker's hosta garden. He grows them BIG. Lots of plants in pots, showing off. He also sells hostas.
Barb Samolis - Totally different and quite remarkable. Succulents and alpines plus a hillside of mini hostas grown to perfection.
