The WNYHS was established in November 1996 for the purpose of promoting the genus Hosta, and to help inform and educate the public on this wonderful and versatile plant.

Join us for Some Exciting Upcoming Events. . . Join Us for Garden Teas The Teas are an opportunity to visit and socialize in 3 members' gardens that you may not have yet visited. The first of these will be the wonderful garden of Jamie and Linda Pabilonia, in Youngstown on Saturday, June 1st. This will be the only opportunity that members will have to visit this garden this year. A Hosta Flash will be sent out to remind members. Refer to our calendar for the other teas. Members Only Hoop House Sale Was May 4th, 2013. Thank you to all club members who supported our Hoop House Sale. Those who bought H.'Razor's Edge' should be sure to record and label it as H.'The Razor's Edge' We are looking forward to our Public Hosta Sale: August 24th, 2013 Harvey D Morin VFW - Center Road, W. Seneca Hundreds of hostas and daylilies locally grown at very resonable prices. Advice and information on cultivation and care of these plants. Barbara Jones, member of our WNY Hosta Society, the New England Hosta Society, as well as the AHS, was awarded the Alex J. Summers Award at the 2012 AHS National Convention. She has worked hard and tirelessly for these organizations. Congratulations Barbara!
