The Upton Garden

This garden is in a wooded setting with lots of shade for nearly 200 kinds of hostas. Many potted annuals provide contrasting splashes of color for the summer, taking advantage of limited areas of sunshine.  Repurposed objects add a bit of whimsy here and there from a red and white Coleman cooler to an antique wringer washer. There is also a scratch and sniff collection of aromatic plants.  Of note: On June 2 our area experienced a powerful hailstorm. As a result, you will see holes in most of the hostas as well as 13 perforations in the siding of the house.

The Neeper Garden

Raven Ridge is a large country garden. Every tree, shrub and flower was planted over a 45 year period by LeRoy and Shirley.  There is a bit of everything: veggies, hosta, other perennials and mature trees including redwood, sweet gum, and weeping hawthorn.   Garden art throughout.   Hosta varieties are not labeled so guests can guess.
